Document your critical dependencies
The new Dependencies tab lets you associate any monitor with the services it depends on.
Simply search our directory of 9,700+ monitored services, add the ones you rely on, and save your changes.
Each dependency shows whether it’s already on your monitoring board. If it isn’t, you can add it with a single click, making it easy to start monitoring important third-party services.
View dependencies during an outage
Dependencies aren’t just stored in your monitor settings.
They’re also available from the Relationships menu on the monitor details page, giving you immediate context when investigating an issue.
If one of your dependencies is already experiencing an outage, you’ll see its current status right alongside your monitor, helping you quickly determine whether the problem may be caused by an external service.
Service relationships continue to improve
For Service monitors, StatusGator already detects many relationships automatically. These help you understand how major cloud providers, SaaS platforms, and infrastructure services are connected without any manual setup.
We’re continuously expanding and improving these relationships, making it even easier to identify potential upstream causes when incidents occur.
The new Dependencies tab complements these automatic relationships by letting you define the services that are unique to your own environment.
