A long requested feature, Bulk import, is now live on StatusGator. Paste a list of service names or upload a .txt or .csv, and we will match them against our directory of nearly 10,000 services so you can add every monitor you need at once instead of searching for them one at a time.
You will find it in the top right corner of the Service Directory above the Search bar.
How it works
1. Paste or upload. Service names one per line or separated by commas, or a .txt or .csv file
2. Review matches. We show what we found in the directory. Check the ones you want, uncheck the rest.
3. Add monitors. Your board is populated and every monitor starts collecting data right away.
Abbreviations and shorthand still match
Each entry is compared against our full directory, including service names and their individual components, so common abbreviations and partial names still resolve to the right service.
Enter “Git” and you will see GitHub, GitLab, GitBook, and both GitHub Enterprise Cloud regions. Enter “AWS” and you get Amazon Web Services along with components like AWS Sign-In and AWS Health, which is useful when your team only depends on one part of a large provider. One entry can return several options, and you can select more than one.
Nothing is added without your confirmation, and anything already on your board is labeled so importing the same list twice will not create duplicates.
We are actively tuning the matching, so expect it to get sharper with shorthand, internal naming, and edge cases over the coming releases.
Missing a service? Just request it!
If an entry has no match, the import will prompt you to request it. Use the Request link to create a ticket for our team. Our directory has grown past 9,730 services because users keep telling us what they need, and we add requests fast (usually within a few days).
Defaults are set automatically
Monitors added in bulk work exactly like monitors added one by one, which means Early Warning Signals are on by default. We alert you when we detect unusual activity, often before the provider updates their own status page. The more of your stack is on your board, the more often you hear about an outage from us first.
Each service monitor is also set up without component filters, though we highly recommend you filter each service to just the components you use. Read more about component filtering.
