Early Warning Signals: Now visible everywhere!

We’ve just rolled out an exciting enhancement to our Early Warning Signals system:
Possible outages that we detect are now visible directly in your Admin board and on your public Status Page.

Until now, we’ve notified StatusGator users about possible outages via email — and more recently, Slack — when we detected signs of an outage before any official acknowledgment.

Now, these early warnings appear right where they’re most impactful:

  • On your public Status Page, visible to your users
  • On your internal Admin Dashboard
  • On embed integrations and the service details page, so you can track them in the incident history

Possible outages will be visible on your embed integrations such as iframes and TV displays and on service details page so you can see them in the incident history.

Possible outages are marked with a “Warn” status, a question mark, and the label “Possible Outage.” These alerts give both your team and your users a heads-up that something might be wrong — even before it’s confirmed by the provider. If an outage is confirmed by a provider, its status update will be displayed instead with the message and details they publish and the severity they specify. If the outage is never acknowledged, StatusGator will show the possible outage until we detect the incident has ended.

This update brings even more transparency and faster awareness to help you stay ahead of incidents.
