Faster monitor metrics and new response time stats

We’ve rolled out an update to the Monitor metrics view to improve both performance and visibility into response time trends for website and ping monitors.

What changed

Faster metrics graph loading

We merged improvements that speed up the monitor metrics graph, helping charts load and render more efficiently – especially when viewing larger datasets or switching between time ranges.

New p95 and p99 response time metrics

The metrics table now includes:

  • p95 response time
  • p99 response time

These percentile metrics provide better insight into response time consistency and help identify occasional latency spikes that average response times can miss.

Why these metrics are useful

Average response times are useful, but they don’t always reflect the real user experience during traffic spikes or intermittent slowdowns.

With p95 and p99 metrics, teams can better:

  • Detect performance outliers
  • Monitor latency consistency
  • Troubleshoot intermittent slow responses
  • Understand worst-case response patterns

This update is now available in the Monitor details → Metrics tab for website and ping monitors.
