Improved subscriber management

We’re excited to introduce new features and improvements that make managing subscribers on your status page easier and more efficient. With these updates, you can invite subscribers, customize subscription settings, and keep everyone informed with just a few clicks.

Here’s what’s new:

Subscription settings and subscribers now have separate tabs

To simplify your workflow, we’ve split Subscription Settings and Subscribers into two dedicated tabs:

  • Subscription settings: Configure options like subscription confirmation and notification preferences.
  • Subscribers: Invite, view, and manage the people who follow your status page updates.

This separation ensures a more organized and user-friendly experience.

Invite subscribers directly

You can now invite subscribers directly from the Subscribers tab. Whether you’re adding one subscriber or a whole list, it’s now faster and more convenient to ensure key stakeholders, team members, or customers are always kept in the loop.

Optional subscription confirmation

By default, we send an email to your subscribers asking them to confirm their subscription. This ensures that they are actively opting in to receive notifications from your status page. However, if you prefer to skip the confirmation step, you can easily disable it. Simply check the box in the settings to bypass the email confirmation process and automatically add subscribers without requiring their confirmation.

Skipping email confirmaion is particularly useful in scenarios such as:

  • Internal teams or small user bases, where all subscribers are already aware and expecting updates.
  • Onboarding new users, making the process faster and easier.
  • Migrating from other providers, when they’ve already subscribed to updates on your old status page.
  • Responding to tickets, when you want to automatically notify a user when an incident is resolved.

Please note that the skip confirmation option is not available on trial or free plans.

How to use the new features

  1. Navigate to the Subscribers tab on your status page configuration page.
  2. Use the Invite subscribers option to add one or more email addresses.
  3. Enjoy a streamlined experience as your subscribers stay informed automatically.
