We’ve made a small improvement to our Incident IQ integration: users can now dismiss the outage announcement bar.
When the outage announcement bar is enabled, Incident IQ can automatically display an alert at the top of your portal whenever a monitored service experiences an outage. With this update, you can add a close button so users can dismiss the announcement once they’ve seen it.
How to enable it
In your Incident IQ integration settings:
- Enable Show outage announcement bar in Incident IQ.
- Check Let users dismiss the announcement bar.
- Click Save.
That’s it. The announcement bar will continue to keep users informed about active outages, while giving them control to dismiss it when they no longer need the reminder.
It’s a small update, but one that makes outage communication in Incident IQ a little less intrusive.
