Introducing the help page for your status page users

We’re thrilled to introduce a new feature to your status page: a dedicated help page! This resource is designed to make it simple for your users to understand and interact with the status page effectively. From checking ongoing incidents to subscribing to updates, your users now have clear guidance on how to get the most from your status page.

How to access the help page

Accessing the help page is simple. A Help link is prominently available in the footer of your status page. Users can click on it anytime to get instant guidance on navigating the page and making the most of its features.

What’s included in the help page?

Here’s what your users can learn:

Checking ongoing incidents: Users can quickly identify current incidents affecting your services, including real-time updates on resolution progress.

Subscribing to updates: Step-by-step instructions show users how to subscribe to notifications, ensuring they stay informed about incidents, scheduled maintenance, and service changes.

Unsubscribing or managing subscriptions: Users can easily manage their subscriptions, modify notification preferences, or unsubscribe from updates when necessary.

Reporting an outage: Clear instructions walk users through reporting an issue if they experience an outage, helping you gather accurate, actionable data.

Customizing the status page view: Your users can learn how to tailor the status page to their preferences, such as filtering monitors or focusing on the services most relevant to them.

Checking monitor details: The help page explains how to view in-depth information about specific monitors, including components if available, and uptime history.

Checking scheduled maintenance: Users can check for planned maintenance events to prepare for potential service interruptions.

Contacting support: For additional assistance, users can find out how to contact your support team directly from the status page.

Why this matters

The help page ensures that your users:

  • Get the answers they need quickly without reaching out for support.
  • Stay engaged with updates about the services they rely on.
  • Feel empowered to report outages and manage their preferences.

How to let your users know

The help page is now live and ready to assist your users. Share this update with your audience via emails, announcements, or social media posts to ensure they know where to find the information they need.

At StatusGator, we’re committed to improving how you communicate with your users. This help page is another step toward making your status page more user-friendly and effective.
