We’ve enhanced our API for custom monitors with more powerful filtering options – giving you better control over how incidents are tracked and surfaced.

Severity (impact level)
Use severity to prioritize incidents based on their impact:
- Major – Significant service disruption
- Minor – Partial or limited impact
- Maintenance – Planned work or scheduled changes
Phase (lifecycle stage)
Track incidents through their lifecycle with phase-based filtering:
Incident phases
- Investigating – Issue detected, root cause unknown
- Identified – Cause found, fix in progress
- Monitoring – Fix deployed, observing stability
- Resolved – Issue fully resolved
Maintenance phases
- In progress – Maintenance currently underway
- Verifying – Work completed, validating systems
- Completed – Maintenance fully finished
What you can do
With these new filters, you can:
- Focus only on high-impact incidents
- Trigger alerts at specific stages
- Reduce noise in custom monitors
- Build more precise dashboards and automations
