New privacy controls for your status page

StatusGator is beloved by teams across the world for its internal team status page that shows the status of all your third party services. We’ve rolled out two new privacy features to give you more control over how your status page is shared and discovered.

Disable public status pages

You can now disable your status page. When disabled, the page is hidden from end users and only accessible in preview mode for StatusGator account admins and editors.

This option is especially useful when:

  • You are still setting up your page and want to keep it private
  • You want to use the page only as an internal tool, using our iframe or other embeds
  • You using StatusGator for notifications only or through other integrations like Slack

Note: Disabling your status page also impacts embeds. Existing embeds will continue to display, but they will not link to your full status page.

Hide from search engines

In the privacy tab, you’ll now find an option to hide your status page from search engines.
This setting was previously located in the analytics tab, but has been moved here for easier access.

When enabled, a noindex tag is added so Google and other search engines will not display your page in search results. This is helpful if you want to share your page only with those who have the link, without making it publicly discoverable.

More flexibility, more control

With the ability to disable your status page and hide it from search engines, you now have greater flexibility to decide how and when your status information is shared. Whether you’re preparing for launch, keeping updates internal, or fine-tuning your visibility, these new settings put you in control.

👉 Head to your status page settings → privacy tab to try these features today.
