New: Save time during incidents with incident templates

Creating incidents often means filling out the same information over and over again.

That’s why we’ve added Incident Templates – a faster way to create incidents using pre-configured settings.

With templates, you can save commonly used incident details and apply them with a single click whenever you need them.

Respond faster

Whether you’re reporting a major outage, a minor service issue, or another recurring incident type, templates help you get started immediately.

Instead of starting from a blank form, simply select a template and we’ll automatically populate key fields such as:

  • Incident name
  • Severity
  • Phase
  • Description
  • Affected monitors
  • Notification settings

You can still review and modify everything before publishing.

Keep communications consistent

When multiple people are responsible for incident management, consistency matters.

Templates help standardize incident creation across your team by providing a repeatable starting point for common scenarios. This means less time writing the same updates and more time focused on resolving issues.

Build templates from real incidents

The best templates often come from incidents you’ve already handled.

If you make changes while creating an incident, you can save the configuration as a new template and reuse it in the future.

Over time, you can build a library of templates tailored to your team’s workflows.

Available now

Incident Templates are now available in the Templates tab under Incidents.

Create a template once, reuse it whenever you need it, and spend less time filling out incident details when every minute counts.
