Status page: Expanded status summary

We’re excited to announce a small but useful update to your StatusGator experience! You can now set the status summary to be expanded by default on your status page. This change allows you to present more information to your users upfront, providing immediate details on any current incidents.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Navigate to the Status page settings.
  2. Under the Design tab, you’ll find a new checkbox option: “Keep the status summary expanded by default.”
  3. Check the box, save your settings, and you’re good to go!

While the status summary will now be expanded by default, your page visitors can still collapse it. If you monitor a lot of services and frequently have many incidents ongoing, you may prefer to keep the default collapsed view. However, if you primarily use Custom Monitors and manually control ongoing incidents, expanded view might suit you better.

And don’t forget! We recently revamped the Status page settings to make customizing your page easier than ever. All visual-related settings are now under the Design tab, including advanced features like changing primary and secondary colors and adjusting the header style for improved branding.

We’d love to hear your thoughts! Share your feedback or let us know what other features you’d like to see in the future. Stay tuned as we continue to improve your StatusGator experience.
