StatusGator now supports timezone preference!

We’re excited to announce a small but impactful update to StatusGator: you can now set your organization’s timezone directly within your Organization settings! 🎉

This enhancement ensures that dates and times in email notifications from your organization align with your chosen timezone, providing a more intuitive experience.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Timezone in notifications: Emails about incidents, updates, or any third party status change alerts will match the timezone you’ve selected. Previously, they would always show as UTC, which is still the default if you don’t choose a time zone.
  • Website and status page display: All times displayed on the web are still automatically adjusted to the timezone of the viewer, according to their browser settings.

How to set your timezone

  1. Navigate to Organization settings under your profile.
  2. Select the desired timezone from the dropdown.
  3. Hit Save, and you’re all set!

This improvement is part of our commitment to making StatusGator more user-friendly for organizations worldwide. Give it a try today, and let us know what you think! We’ve got even more planned for this in the future — including user-level preferences for individual status page subscribers.
