June 2025 brought a series of disruptive outages to major EdTech platforms. With many educational institutions relying on these tools daily, even brief downtime can create chaos for classrooms, educators, and IT teams.

StatusGator detected these outages early โ€” often without any official acknowledgment from the providers โ€” helping schools and districts respond faster and communicate proactively with staff and students.

1. Lexia Outage โ€“ June 28, 2025

Issue Summary: LETRS login not working
StatusGator Detection: June 28, 2025, 03:34 AM
Officially Acknowledged: Not acknowledged

Educators using LETRS through Lexia were blocked from logging in, causing significant disruption to literacy instruction. StatusGator flagged the issue instantly, even though no formal status update was posted by the provider.

2. Pearson Outage โ€“ June 3, 2025

Issue Summary: Login issues affecting access to the service
StatusGator Detection: June 3, 2025, 09:07 PM
Officially Acknowledged: Not acknowledged

Access to Pearson platforms was impacted by login failures, leaving teachers and students unable to reach essential course content. With no public communication from Pearson, StatusGator alerts were the only early warning for affected institutions.

3. Classkick Outage โ€“ June 12, 2025

Issue Summary: Internal server error affecting service functionality
StatusGator Detection: June 12, 2025, 06:27 PM
Officially Acknowledged: Not acknowledged

An internal server error brought Classkick to a halt, interrupting student assignments and teacher feedback. Despite the outageโ€™s severity, no official notice was posted, reinforcing the need for third-party monitoring like StatusGator.

4. NWEA Outage โ€“ June 11, 2025

Issue Summary: NWEA MAP not loading or displaying blank screen
StatusGator Detection: June 11, 2025, 05:39 PM
Officially Acknowledged: Not acknowledged

Students attempting to access MAP Growth assessments were met with blank pages, derailing testing sessions. With no acknowledgment from NWEA, StatusGator alerts served as the first and only indication of a widespread problem.

5. Google Cloud Outage โ€“ June 12, 2025

Issue Summary: Query results not displaying and error messages appearing
StatusGator Detection: June 12, 2025, 06:02 PM
Officially Acknowledged: 1 hour later, at 07:05 PM

Though not exclusive to education, this Google Cloud outage affected countless EdTech platforms and tools. Queries failed and errors surfaced across various services, many of which rely on Google Cloud infrastructure. StatusGator gave early visibility before Google posted their incident update.

EdTech platforms are lifelines in todayโ€™s classrooms โ€” and when they go down, learning is put on hold. In June 2025, several critical services failed without warning. StatusGator helped fill the communication gap by detecting and surfacing these issues in real time.

Whether you’re managing IT for a school district or supporting thousands of students, early awareness is crucial. StatusGator ensures youโ€™re never caught off guard by silent outages.
