What’s New in StatusGator, April 2022

Aggregated status page example

In the first 3 months of 2022, we’ve deployed 242 updates to StatusGator. As our growth has accelerated, we have become the platform relied upon by thousands to gain visibility into their vendors’ service statuses. Today, we’re announcing several big new features you may have seen trickle in over the last few weeks.

Status Pages

What we used to call a “public dashboard” is now called a “status page” — a term many of you used in conversation with us. What’s the difference between StatusGator and other status page providers? Simply put: Other status page providers are tools to communicate the status of your product to the world. StatusGator is a tool to communicate the status of the world with you. Our aggregated status pages are perfect for sharing the status of all your vendors with your team or users. Read more

Direct Monitoring

Direct monitoring is a huge new feature many of you have asked for — the ability to directly monitor any website from within StatusGator. Useful for internal tools or services without a status page, just enter the URL and StatusGator monitors it. Read more

Status Overrides

Your StatusGator status page can increase visibility and reduce support times when shared with your team. As its importance in your organization grows, so does the need to ensure it accurately reflects the status of your vendors. You can now override the status of any service to reflect a status and message of your choosing. If an outage isn’t showing on a status page, or a posted outage is not affecting you, just change the status. Read more

Status Page Messaging

Our status pages can now optionally display a message at the top which you can control at a moment’s notice. This area is perfect for highlighting critical outages, and upcoming maintenance, or just for explaining your status page to your team. Read more

And don’t miss these other enhancements:

  • Service Reordering: Change the order of services on your status page. Read more
  • Custom CSS: Customize the look and feel of your status page. Read more
  • Slack Improvements: List all current outages with one command. Read more
  • Google Chat: Get StatusGator notifications in Google Chat. Read more

All of this could not have been possible without your constant feedback. Please reply to this email and let us know what you think. What else is StatusGator missing? We want to hear about it!

Thank you for your feedback and support!
