One of StatusGator’s most important cloud service monitoring features is component filtering. Many services have multiple components such as regions, products, or features and not every component may be relevant to you. Our new component filter tags help you quickly identify how many components of a service you’re currently monitoring. This makes it easier to ensure your notifications are focused on what matters most.
What’s new?
On the Monitors page, next to each service monitor, you’ll now see the associated component filter count. This tag displays the components you’ve selected for monitoring. Clicking on the tag will take you directly to the component filter settings for that service, where you can adjust your preferences as needed.

Why is this important?
Here are just a few reasons why this update can make a big difference:
- Quick overview: Instantly see which components you’re monitoring without navigating to another page.
- Easier access: Directly access the components filter settings to update or refine your preferences with a single click.
- Reduce notification overload: Focus on critical components, ensuring you’re only notified about what truly impacts your operations.
How to use?
- Go to the monitors page: Sign in to your StatusGator account and navigate to the Monitors page.
- Locate the components tag: Look for the tag next to each service monitor that lists the components you’re monitoring. If a service has no components (or just a single component) the tag will not be present.
- Click to access settings: Click on the tag to open the component filter settings for that monitor. From there, you can add or remove components as needed.
With component filter tags now visible on the Monitors page, managing your service monitors has never been easier. Take advantage of this feature to quickly review your monitored components and adjust your settings to reduce unnecessary notifications. By doing so, you’ll stay focused on the components that are most critical to your success.
