We’re excited to show you some great updates to the most-used feature of StatusGator: Third party service monitoring. This update combines several features that have been very often requested and will certainly make your StatusGator experience even better. Here’s what’s new:
No official status page? No problem!
With our recently launched Early Warning Signals feature, we’ve introduced a significant upgrade: StatusGator now monitors services that lack an official status page, including hosted applications, ISPs, and many other types of services. How does it work? Our system estimates service health based on user-reported incidents and other detected data. If we suspect potential downtime, you’ll receive alerts to stay informed. To make it easy to spot these services, we’ve added a crossed shield icon to differentiate them from those with official status pages.

New feature highlights:
- Estimated service health chart: On each service page, you can view a graph that shows our estimated service health over the past 24 hours. Red spikes in the chart indicate potential issues we’ve detected, helping you stay ahead of potential disruptions.
- Proactive alerts: We’re committed to keeping you informed about potential downtime even if they can’t be officially acknowledged. Just make sure you have your early warning signals enabled. While you will not receive official incidents since these providers do not publish official incidents, you will receive early warning notices to help stay informed.
Enhanced service health graphs for all services
In addition to monitoring unofficial services, we’ve added service health graphs to all services, including those with official status pages. This update complements our recently launched early warning signals feature and helps visually identify potential issues, giving you a heads-up before they’re officially acknowledged.

Reminder! If you experience an issue but the official status remains operational, you can report it from your StatusGator dashboard. Simply go to your monitors page, find the service, click on the context menu, and report it to contribute your experience back to the community.
Improved service pages on our website
We’ve also updated our public website service pages to provide more comprehensive information and easier navigation, and better issue reporting. These pages service as the public view for all StatusGator service monitors and allow you to share the status of a specific service with other teams.
Highlights:
- New look: We’ve updated the design and included service logo, making it easier to recognize each service and quickly understand its status.
- Health charts: We’ve added health charts that display potential issues even before they’re officially acknowledged. You can view these charts without needing an account. To start receiving alerts on service status changes and potential issues, including our Early Warning Signals feature, consider starting a free trial with us.
- Issue reporting: Besides reporting issues directly from the service page, you can now upvote the most common issues to help highlight and address prevalent problems within the community.
We hope these updates enhance your monitoring experience and keep you better informed about potential issues. As always, we’re here to support you, and we welcome your feedback. If you have any questions or need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out at hi@statusgator.com.
Thank you for being a valued part of the StatusGator community!
