We’ve made an upgrade to the “Check for Content” feature in our website monitors! Previously, users could select just one location at a time from US West, US East, EU West, and AU East via radio buttons. Now you can monitor your content from multiple locations instead of just one. By choosing multiple regions you can ensure that transient network issues don’t cause your monitor to go down unexpectedly.

How to use the “Check for content” option
This feature allows you to enter specific keywords or phrases, and you’ll be notified if that content is either found or missing from your site. Whether you’re tracking essential updates like pricing, legal disclaimers, or product listings, this feature helps you ensure that your users see the correct content across the globe.
StatusGator customers are using this feature for all kinds of creative purposes. For example, you can check a URL to ensure that it contains “Last updated 2024-04-17” and if that text no longer appears on the page — because the date was updated — you would get notified as the monitor would change to down.
How this improvement helps you
With the ability to select multiple regions, you can now ensure that your specified content appears (or doesn’t appear) from multiple regions. As with all our website monitors, your monitor is considered “up” if the check succeeds in at least one location. That means that if the site is down in the US East but succeeds in the US West, your monitor will be considered up. This improvement reduces flaky content monitors — just choose more than one region.
