Brightcove Unscheduled Maintenance – April 26th, 2023

Details

Brightcove Engineering will conduct unscheduled maintenance on system infrastructure on Wednesday, April 26th, from 6:00 AM until 10:00 AM UTC.

During the maintenance window, Brightcove Engineering will complete migration work relating to Brightcove Interactivity (formerly HapYak) products.

Brightcove Interactivity (formerly HapYak) functionality will continue to be available. While customers will retain the ability to create, modify or delete projects, templates or Experiences, all data saved during the maintenance window will not be retained—this includes a shorter period of time during which Analytics data will be impacted and not retained by the service. Content published using the Brightcove Player and end-user experiences will not be impacted, nor is there any anticipated impact on playback.

Brightcove Engineering will monitor system stability and activity during the aforementioned window and have available resources on standby to mitigate any significant interruptions.

Brightcove Unscheduled Maintenance – April 15th, 2023

Details

Brightcove Engineering will conduct unscheduled maintenance on system infrastructure on Saturday, April 15th, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM UTC.

During the maintenance window, Brightcove Engineering will complete migration work relating to Brightcove's CMS API and Interactivity (formerly HapYak) products.

Customers interacting with the CMS API may notice that search and read requests will temporarily respond slower than expected. Operations performed using Brightcove's Video Cloud Studio UI, Gallery, Ingestion service, Cloud Playout and the CMS API, itself, may require a retry after a few minutes. Additionally, the creation of new Brightcove Live jobs, Live-to-VOD clips and clipping requests made using the Social module UI may intermittently fail, also requiring retry. There is no anticipated impact on the playback of content.

Brightcove Interactivity (formerly HapYak) functionality will continue to be available. While customers will retain the ability to create, modify or delete projects, templates or Experiences, all data saved during the maintenance window will not be retained—this includes a shorter period of time during which Analytics data will be impacted and not retained by the service. Content published using the Brightcove Player and end-user experiences will not be impacted, nor is there any anticipated impact on playback.

Brightcove Infrastructure Quarterly Scheduled Maintenance – November 12th, 2022

Details

We will be performing scheduled maintenance tasks to our platform infrastructure on November 12th, 2022, from 2:00 PM until 10:00 PM UTC.

During the upcoming maintenance window, Brightcove Engineering will deploy changes and improvements to Brightcove Live, Analytics, Video Cloud Studio, our Player Management, and Player Delivery APIs, and Brightcove Interactivity (formerly HapYak):

Customers will be unable to view Live reporting for the present day and the Trending Now UI will also be unavailable. No actual data loss is expected—data will become available following the conclusion of the maintenance window. We recommend that customers for whom real-time Live reporting is a priority schedule events before or following the maintenance window, if possible.

Customers will be unable to access, create, modify or delete Brightcove web Players via our Player Management API or Players module UI within Video Cloud Studio. We anticipate the possibility of minor delays with the delivery of web players in production environments, however; actual content playback will be unaffected.

Brightcove Interactivity (formerly HapYak) functionality will also be unavailable. Customers will be unable to create, modify or delete projects, templates or experiences. Annotations with video content may be impacted temporarily. No data loss is expected and will return following the conclusion of the maintenance window. During the maintenance window, playback could also be affected if HapYak embed code or links are used. Content published using our Brightcove Player will not be impacted.

We will monitor system stability and activity during the aforementioned window and have available resources on standby to mitigate any significant interruptions.
