Incident IQ: Outage announcement bar

Our Incident IQ integration just got better. Meet the Outage Announcement Bar, a simple way to surface live outage details inside Incident IQ. This new feature makes it even easier for users, support teams, and administrators to stay aware of service disruptions the moment they happen.

This update builds on our existing Incident IQ integration, which already syncs outage reports from your StatusGator status page into Incident IQ. Now, with two new configuration options, you have more control over how StatusGator data flows into your operational and support processes.

Two integration modes

StatusGator now offers two independent capabilities designed to improve communication and streamline incident handling. Each feature can be enabled on its own – or combined for maximum visibility.

Show outage announcement bar in Incident IQ

When a monitored service experiences an outage, StatusGator can automatically display an announcement bar at the top of your Incident IQ interface. This banner contains key details about the affected services, along with a link to your public StatusGator status page and the latest update. It helps users recognize ongoing issues before submitting tickets, reducing duplicate reports and improving awareness across your organization.

Automatically create support tickets from outage reports

For teams that want immediate tracking of emerging incidents, StatusGator can automatically create a support ticket in Incident IQ whenever an outage is detected. This eliminates the need for manual ticket creation, ensuring timely logging and consistent communication during service interruptions.

Simple configuration

Setting up these features is quick and straightforward. In your StatusGator board, navigate to Integrations → Incident IQ and enter your Site ID, Product ID, domain, and API token – these are all available in your Incident IQ Admin settings.

Once connected, simply check the boxes to enable the announcement bar or automatic ticket creation. Each option can be turned on independently, giving you full flexibility to choose how the integration works for your team.
