Improved monitor filters

We shipped a small improvement to monitor filtering to make it easier to stay organized — especially if you’re managing a board with a lot of monitors.

You can now filter your monitor list by:

Monitor status

Quickly narrow your list to only what matters right now:

  • Up
  • Down
  • Warn
  • Maintenance

This is great when you want to focus on active issues, check warnings, or confirm what’s currently in maintenance without scrolling through everything.

Monitor type

You can also filter by monitor category:

  • Service monitors
  • Website monitors
  • Ping monitors
  • Custom monitors

So if you’re only working with website monitors (or only service monitors), you can filter the list down instantly.

Reminder: Don’t forget component filters

If you’re monitoring a service that has multiple components (like API, Database, EU West, etc.), Component Filters are still one of the best ways to reduce noise.

Inside a monitor, you can choose to:

  • Monitor all components (recommended if you want full coverage)
  • Or filter to specific components (recommended if you only care about certain parts of a service)

This is especially useful when:

  • different teams own different components
  • you only want alerts for the systems you actually rely on
  • you want cleaner, more targeted notifications

Give it a spin and tell us what other improvements would make StatusGator easier to use.
