REPAY Channels Infrastructure Migration

Details

REPAY will be beginning an effort to upgrade users of our Channels Platform to our new infrastructure beginning on June 1st, 2021.
This update will include any consumers of our Web Portal (EBPP), Checkout Forms (HPP), IVR, SMS, Mobile App, or any direct API calls that are hitting a repay.io domain.
As part of this upgrade, any URLs that are used for testing purposes will be moved to our dedicated sandbox environment.

Impact
Production users will not see any impact in transaction processing or day-to-day activities, but there may be a small delay in some historical data as it is migrated. This delay would be very minimal (no more than one hour). Transaction Webhooks will not be affected by this delay, however there may be a brief period where duplicate webhooks could occur.
Users that will be migrated to our sandbox environment will need to update URLs to use the sandbox.repay.io domain. This would include any web portals, APIs, or SFTP connections. All test data will be retained and available to you at the sandbox URL after the upgrade has completed. Migrations are expected to be complete by the end of July 2021, but specific timelines will vary on a case by case basis.

Pre-Migration Steps
To ensure that you do not see any impact as part of these upgrades, please review the below information with your IT teams. If the below updates do impact you, please reach out to REPAY to let us know of your usage, so we can ensure no disruption to your service when your migration occurs.

If you are pinning certificates, please retrieve the new certificate by going to getyourcert.repay.io (production) or getyourcert.sandbox.repay.io (sandbox).
If you are whitelisting REPAY’s IPs. Please ADD the following IPs to your list as soon as possible:

REPAY is aware of an intermittent connectivity issue experienced with an upstream provider experienced between 15:40 ET and 16:15 ET. Merchants could have received timeouts - REPAY is currently evaluating whether there are any instances where Merchants received a timeout, yet the transaction went through to the Issuer.

For compliance reasons REPAY will be refreshing the REPAY Gateway SSL certificates in Sandbox and Production Environments, and the issuer CA will be changing.

Timing of update
Production: May 05, 2021

Merchant impact: merchants that do certificate pinning where the REPAY issuer CA or public key is imported locally by the merchant will be impacted. A new import of the new public key or issuer CA will have to be performed. The new issuer CAs are:

Production: Changing from Sectigo RSA Extended Validation Secure Server CA to Sectigo RSA Organization Validation Secure Server CA

The new certificate chains, which are base-64 encoded, will be emailed out and also available by contacting REPAY Customer Service at 877.607.5468. ***** This is only required if certificate pinning is performed. *****
