Early Warning Signals: Now in Webex
We’re thrilled to share that Early Warning Signals are now available in Webex, completing StatusGator’s full suite of chat integrations (Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, Discord, Webhooks, and now Webex).
What this means for your team
If your team uses Webex for daily communication, you’ll now receive real-time third-party SaaS outage alerts and early warnings directly where you work. Instead of waiting for official status updates, you’ll be notified of potential disruptions early, giving your team precious time to respond or adapt.
How it works
StatusGator’s Early Warning Signals system continuously analyzes:
- Provider anomalies and API responses
- Traffic and latency patterns
- Community-reported incidents
If irregular activity is detected, an alert is sent to your Webex space, often minutes before the provider posts to their status page.
What you can do with it
- Act fast: Respond to emerging issues before they escalate.
- Stay informed: Keep your team aligned with real-time, shared visibility into service health.
- Customize notifications: Adjust Early Warning Signals per monitor or across your entire board.
Manage Multiple Boards and Spaces
StatusGator’s integration system is built for flexibility.
- One board = one space: Each StatusGator board connects to one Webex space. For example, connect your Engineering Board to the “#Engineering Alerts” space and your Support Board to “#Customer Updates.”
- Multiple boards: To send alerts to more than one Webex space, create additional boards, each with its own monitors and webhook connection.
- Reconnect or change spaces: Need to move alerts? Just create a new webhook in Webex, update your integration settings in StatusGator, and you’re done.
- Remove or re-add anytime: Manage integrations easily from your board’s Integrations page.
Control Early Warning Signal Settings
Early Warning Signals are enabled by default, but you can fine-tune them anytime to match your team’s needs:
- Per Monitor: Go to Monitor → Settings → Notifications to enable or disable Early Warning Signals.
- Globally: Visit Board Settings → Monitor Notifications to control settings across all monitors in that board.
This ensures your Webex alerts stay relevant and focused on the services that matter most.
