Details

We're aware of a problem with Google Calendar affecting a significant subset of users. We will provide an update by Nov 3, 2022, 1:00 AM UTC detailing when we expect to resolve the problem. Please note that this resolution time is an estimate and may change. The affected users are able to access Google Calendar, but are seeing error messages, high latency, and/or other unexpected behavior. Due to time zone changes in Mexico taking effect from 2022-10-30 (**Chihuahua specifically**), your Google Calendar may: - Show the wrong time with the red bar on Calendar Web; - Have the wrong times for single events, recurring events, or appointments - Affect RSVP responses for recurring events**
Google engineers are working on a mitigation which is expected to complete by Wednesday, 2022-11-02 17:00 US/Pacific. **Mitigation** - If single events appear at the wrong time, manually move the events to the right time. - If recurring events appear at the wrong time, you can make nearly any modification to the series, like adding a space to the summary, and it should fix the events that appear at the wrong time after the transition.
**Important:** Making a modification will also reset any event in the series that had specific changes so that it matches the original event. Some examples of one-off changes that will reset include single events that: - were moved to a different time - included other attendees - had a different summary
Attendees of recurring events may also see that events they accepted are no longer accepted or that events they declined are no longer declined.
If recurring events appear at the wrong time for some guests, any update to the original event should fix the series for the owner and all of the guests.
We expect to resolve the problem affecting a significant subset of users of Google Meet at Nov 4, 2022, 8:00 PM UTC. Please note that this time frame is an estimate and may change. We will provide more information by Wednesday, 2022-11-02 7:00 PM UTC on progress of the mitigation.
Customer Symptoms: Some users of Meet iOS app may be unable to complete Phone Number registration and as a result can not use calling features.
The affected users should still be able to join Meet sessions No workaround at this time.

About Our Google Workspace Support Status Page Integration

Google Workspace Support is a Chat, Communications, and Productivity solution that StatusGator has been monitoring since May 2015. Over the past about 9 years, we have collected data on on more than 536 outages that affected Google Workspace Support users. When Google Workspace Support publishes downtime on their status page, they do so across 28 components using 3 different statuses: up, warn, and down which we use to provide granular uptime metrics and notifications.

More than 2,100 StatusGator users monitor Google Workspace Support to get notified when it's down or has an outage. This makes it one of the most popular chat services monitored on our platform. We've sent more than 148,500 notifications to our users about Google Workspace Support incidents, providing transparency and peace of mind. You can get alerts by signing up for a free StatusGator account.

If Google Workspace Support is having system outages or experiencing other critical issues, red down notifications appear on the status page. In most cases, it means that core functions are not working properly, or there is some other serious customer-impacting event underway.

Warn notifications are used when Google Workspace Support is undergoing a non-critical issue like minor service issues, performance degradation, non-core bugs, capacity issues, or problems affecting a small number of users.

Google Workspace Support does not post separate notifications for planned maintenance work so we are unable to send notifications when maintenance windows begin. If you need Google Workspace Support maintenance notifications, please email us.

Google Workspace Support does not publish a feed of proactive maintenance events on their status page at this time. If they do, be sure to let us know and we'll aggregate Google Workspace Support maintenance events into your unified calendar.

When Google Workspace Support posts issues on their status page, we collect the main headline message and include that brief information or overview in notifications to StatusGator subscribers.

When Google Workspace Support has outages or other service-impacting events on their status page, we pull down the detailed informational updates and include them in notifications. These messages often include the current details about how the problem is being mitigated, or when the next update will occur.

Because Google Workspace Support has several components, each with their individual statuses, StatusGator can differentiate the status of each component in our notifications to you. This means, you can filter your status page notifications based on the services, regions, or components you utilize. This is an essential feature for complex services with many components or services spread out across many regions.
