User impact: Users may be intermittently unable to access the Microsoft Purview Portal or access their Exchange Online mailboxes.

More info: For Microsoft Purview Portal impact, users may experience intermittent errors, time outs, and unauthorized responses when accessing the Microsoft Purview Portal. Additionally, users' Microsoft Purview policies may be delayed when propagating.

For Exchange Online impact, affected users may be intermittently unable to access Exchange Online through any of the following connection methods:

- Outlook on the web
- Outlook desktop client
- Representational State Transfer (REST) API
- Exchange ActiveSync (EAS)

Current status: We've identified an issue with the Microsoft Purview and Exchange Online service in which a recent update to code that facilitates memory allocation increase resulted in high Central Processing Unit (CPU) usage on a portion of SQL infrastructure, causing impact.
Our deployment of the fix for this issue is continuing and we're monitoring its progression while it saturates the affected infrastructure to resolve the issue.

Scope of impact: Some users may intermittently be affected by this issue when attempting to access their mailboxes from any connection method in Exchange Online or when attempting to access the Microsoft Purview Portal.

User impact: Users' Microsoft 365 service apps for Mac may be shutting down unexpectedly and reinstalled by Microsoft Intune.

More info: This issue affects the following Microsoft 365 desktop apps for Mac: AutoUpdate, Defender, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams. Users that have access to the corresponding mobile or web apps can use these to bypass the problem while we address this impact.

Current status: We've investigated this issue and identified that a recent configuration change may be causing some users' Microsoft 365 service apps to shut down and reinstall. We've developed and are validating a configuration change fix that we expect will correct this disruptive configuration and remediate impact.

Scope of impact: Any user attempting to utilize any Microsoft 365 service desktop app for Mac may be affected by this event.

Root cause: A recent configuration change may be causing some users' Microsoft 365 service desktop apps for Mac to shut down and reinstall.

About Our Microsoft 365 suite Status Page Integration

Microsoft 365 suite is an IT, Project Management, Communications, and Microsoft solution that StatusGator has been monitoring since August 2023. Over the past 12 months, we have collected data on on more than 46 outages that affected Microsoft 365 suite users. When Microsoft 365 suite publishes downtime on their status page, they do so using 3 different statuses: up, warn, and down which we use to provide granular uptime metrics and notifications.

More than 100 StatusGator users monitor Microsoft 365 suite to get notified when it's down or has an outage.
